Our immensely popular and reliable Evotec reel series continues its incredible evolution with a sleek, updated design and some brand new features.

The G5 is the fifth generation member of the family, and a worthy successor to the much loved G4. Like its predecessor, it remains very much the workhorse among all fly reels.

Internal-wise, a powerhouse in every sense of the word, with each model benefitting from an ergonomically designed, non-friction winding handle and a unique counter-weight featuring a specific O-ring for attaching the tippet when not fishing.

This latest incarnation features a new brake knob with thought-through design that will increase your control over the brake, even with cold fingers. We’ve also introduced a new spool cap, which provides much better grip for spool changes.

With the continued presence of the strong and seamlessly smooth Power Matrix drag system, the Evotec G5 truly excels in any fishing environment for a multitude of species, and is the reel to have attached to your rod when the fish of a lifetime hits your fly.

Available in 3 models and a sleek gunmetal grey colour scheme, the G5 reel also works with G4 spare spools.
